With the rollout of our 2023 Spring Release, a number of improvements have been made to our system, in attempts to streamline camera management and billing settings, as well as to make the data plans a bit less complicated to understand. To see everything that’s changed, please go through our 2023 Spring Release posts.
We’ve recognized that most customers who are new to our system have found the concept of “Points” somewhat confusing. Going forward, any mention of “Points” will disappear, and your data will be represented by a simple progress bar. When your Pool renews, you are awarded the amount of data indicated on your selected Rate Tier, and the bar fills up. When the camera performs online activity, your data is consumed, and you can keep track on the My Cameras page, or on the My Account page.

The Pricing page lists the plans and their allotted data, in separate charts for both US and Canada. The amount of photos listed by each plan is an approximation – the maximum number of photos you can get on the lowest upload settings (Standard Upload Resolution and Low Upload Quality). As your settings are increased, the amount of photos your camera(s) can upload will decrease.

In short, if you pay for 250MB of data, you can get up to 5,000 photos depending on your settings. Low settings means more photos, high settings means fewer photos – simple as that. If you have any questions about our data plans, please reach out by phone or email, and we’ll be glad to help.
