As we mentioned in “2023 Spring Release: 03 Points Reserve is sunset,” Points Reserve is no more, and has been replaced by Account Balance. This allows you to add funds to your account without saving a credit card to our system. You can view your balance on the My Account page, and add to it by clicking the “Pay On Account” button beside it, or if you’re in Advanced view, you can get there via the Pay On Account tab.
If you have a card saved on file, it will appear on the Pay On Account page, but you can also enter the information of another card you don’t wish to save.
You can use your default card on file to pay for your bill, or use your account balance. This way, you can run your cameras without ever having to save a credit card to our system. Under Renewal Settings, you’ll find where to select your payment method:
Selecting Default Credit Card will make the system charge your card when it’s time for renewal (if you have Renew Automatically selected), and Account Balance will make the system take funds from your balance to pay your bill instead. If you have Default Credit Card selected, but no card is saved on the system, automatic billing will not go through, and your account will suspend.
