2023 Spring Release: 02 Free Month

Whenever you add a new Ridgetec camera to your account, we will give you 250MB of free data. Previously, this free data was added to the Points Reserve, but since Reserve was only used when your Pool ran out early, not everyone was able to use free data that was leftover after their first month on the portal. Going forward, the free data will be separated from Account Balance, and will always get used first – even if you do not use it all during your first month, it will take priority once your billing starts. Potentially you could save on your second month, by purchasing the smallest data plan, and taking advantage of the free data that way.

There are a few ways to check and see how much free data you have left:

In Standard view, Free Data is one of the available stats while Status is collapsed
With Status expanded (Standard) or on the Overview tab (Advanced), Free Data can be found below Pool Data
Free Data can also be found on the My Account page

Keep in mind that only new cameras add free data to your account. If you have purchased a previously owned camera, the free data was more than likely awarded to the original owner.
